BOTANICAL GARDEN MUNICH-NYMPHENBURG, 2022


The Avantgarden Photo Edition accompanies the installation Avantgarden, shown at the Winterhalle of the Botanical Garden Munich-Nymphenburg.
It brings together a selection of photographic works created between 2020 and 2022: some in collaboration with photographer David Schermann, others during an artist residency at Villa Lena in Tuscany. Additional images were taken in my garden in Waizenkirchen, where plants and light shaped their own quiet narratives. Two collages from the ongoing series Ovid’s Garden round out the edition, weaving myth into the botanical.

Die Avantgarden Photo Edition begleitet die Installation Avantgarden, gezeigt in der Winterhalle des Botanischen Gartens München-Nymphenburg.
Sie versammelt fotografische Arbeiten, die zwischen 2020 und 2022 entstanden sind – teils in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Fotografen David Schermann, teils während eines Artist-in-Residence-Aufenthalts in der Villa Lena in der Toskana. Weitere Aufnahmen entstanden in meinem Garten in Waizenkirchen, wo Pflanzen und Licht ihre eigene stille Erzählung entwickelten. Zwei Collagen aus der fortlaufenden Serie Ovids Garten ergänzen die Edition und verweben Botanik und Mythologie.
